Once upon a time there was a dad called Graham and a mum called Jenny. They lived together in a house where they each had a study to do their work. And in their studies, to help them work better, they each had a very comfortable chair on which to sit.
One day the Grahamdad came into his study and – ‘Look who is sitting in my chair ?’ A rather large Gulliver cat was enjoying a good rest on the very comfortable chair.
Now this had happened to the Grahamdad before, both with Gulliver and with other cats, so he knew just what to do. He certainly could not disturb the Gulliver cat, so as Jennymum was not at home, he went into her study to borrow her chair to put beside his own so that he could still work sitting comfortably – even if he did have to re-arrange his computer somewhat. He had done this before, and the cat would lift his head to say ‘So now you are sitting in her chair ? Well that is quite right.‘
But when Grahamdad came into Jennymum’s study, who should be sitting on her chair already, but a small Adora Bubble cat?
Adora Bubble looked so very cosy on the comfortable chair that, of course, she could not be disturbed. ‘I am sitting on her chair and that is quite right,‘ she said. Grahamdad had to think very hard, as he really did want to sit at his desk and do some work. He went along to the bathroom where there was a too hard, wooden, upright chair and took this back to his study, where he put it beside his own very comfortable chair and perched on the hard one as best he could. And that was quite right!
